Some weddings are years in the making. Others, like Jill & Reed’s nuptials, come together in 12 weeks. Seriously: 12 weeks. But don’t let that speed fool you. With a clear vision of what she wanted, Jill found the perfect balance of modern and pastoral for this monochromatic farm wedding filled with loads of personal touches.

Considering their attention to detail, it’s no surprise that J&R chose The Greenery at McKenzie’s Farm to host their loved ones. Built as a sleek yet functional wedding venue, The Greenery offered plenty of room to get ready, photography-ready spaces, and an ideal blank canvas for the couple to make their vision come to life with unique features. The moment guests walked in, they were greeted by J&R’s signature-scented candles, crafted by Anthropologie, lit at every table. In lieu of a guestbook, the couple offered a vintage telephone to record well-wishes.

Signature cocktails commemorated the couple’s history, with a Spin Class Sangria in honor of their meet cute (Jill is a spin instructor, quickly making an enthusiastic student out of Reed), and a Hong Kong Mule to celebrate the years they lived abroad. They were both perfect refreshers for a hot New England summer’s day.

Jill & Reed opted to exchange vows privately after their first look – an intimate moment soon transformed into a jovial celebration for their outdoor ceremony. A moment any Swiftie would appreciate, Jill walked down the aisle to an instrumental version of Taylor Swift’s “Lover.”

At the couple’s first kiss as a husband and wife, the bridal party let loose with confetti cannons, and the event made its way back inside for music, dancing, and food. From Cheese Louise’s grilled cheese truck to Portland’s Brûlée Bike, artisanal donuts and a cookie wall, guests had plenty to choose from. In harmony with the wedding’s modern and monochromatic theme, the chic simplicity of baby’s breath adorned the tables, while Jack Johnson’s lyric “Better Together” was lit in neon along the wall overlooking the two-tiered cake.

Guests sent off the newlyweds in style with a grand sparkler exit, but not before a moving Danny Boy tribute, performed by Jill’s sister and brother-in-law, in dedication to the bride and groom’s late fathers. I’m not crying, you’re crying.
