If you were like me and lucky enough to go to summer camp as a kid, you probably have fond memories of running through the woods with your friends, swamping canoes on the lake, and chowing down on s’mores by the fire. Now imagine getting to relive those moments with the love of your life – only this time, with a little more sophistication, and a lot less poison ivy. That’s exactly what Angie & Andrew did as they brought some childhood charm to their black tie summer camp wedding held on Ossipee Lake, New Hampshire.

For A&A, the most important part of their wedding festivities was the day before the ceremony. It was a chance to enjoy the sun, water ski, and relax on pontoon boats on the same spot Angie grew up vacationing with her family.

You’d think that impending Hurricane Henri would put a damper on the actual wedding day, but A&A could not have been in higher spirits, even as it started to rain just as we were taking photos. The downpour passed in time for the couple to tie the knot at the welcoming chapel of Camp Marist, whose gorgeous wooden nave sheltered guests from the summer heat.

A hop across the lake brought loved ones into a modern and sophisticated venue. Clear panels immersed guests in the woods with a serene view of the lake. This wasn’t your typical summer camp dining hall experience: sweet eucalyptus and cream roses adorned the long tables for an elegant setting.

Transported via forest green Cadillac, A&A entered their reception to the soulful sounds of the band Mojo. Guests were up out of their seats and dancing all evening. For Angie, that meant a savvy wardrobe change into pants tailored from the same glimmering fabric as her wedding dress.

With friends and family still partying, and the string lights of the dance floor shining on the shore, A&A closed out their evening by jumping into the lake – in full wedding attire. It took a bit of convincing for Andrew, but the summer camp experience wouldn’t be complete without a bit of mischief, right?
