THE TOWER BOSTON WEDDING | KIM & BEN | BOSTON WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER

April 8, 2026

As a Boston wedding photographer, capturing Kim and Ben’s wedding at The Tower was an absolute joy. This stunning wedding venue, though relatively new, has quickly become a favorite for its unique charm and central location in the city.

Having lived in the South End, I deeply appreciate how accessible Boston’s most picturesque neighborhoods are for wedding photography. From historic streets to iconic parks, this area offers endless variety for couples who want their wedding photos to feel distinctly Boston.

A Vision of Creative, Design-Forward Elegance

My connection with Kim, initially through her sister (a fellow art school alumna!), hinted at a wedding rich in creativity and design. Kim’s vision was impeccable, with every detail, from bespoke invitations to overall styling, exuding an elevated and intentional aesthetic. A fun discovery during our planning was our shared past as competitive Irish step dancers, which set the stage for what I knew would be an unforgettable celebration.

Getting Ready at The Lenox Hotel in Boston

The day began at The Lenox Hotel, a classic choice for wedding mornings near Copley Square. Kim and Ben originally planned to exchange private vows at the Boston Public Library, but an unexpected farmers market and nearby construction required a quick pivot.

We moved the vows into their hotel room, which turned out to be perfect. With beautiful natural light, city views, and a quiet atmosphere, it created an intimate and romantic setting that felt even more meaningful for their private moment together.

Given that Kim and Ben are high school sweethearts — much like my own story — documenting this part of their day felt especially personal.

Wedding Portraits at Boston Public Garden

After their vows, we made our way to the breathtaking Boston Public Garden for wedding portraits. In full bloom, the garden created a dreamlike backdrop that felt timeless and unmistakably Boston.

Their family arrived on a classic trolley, which added such a joyful, local touch to the experience. Champagne was popped, laughter echoed through the park, and the energy was pure celebration. These are the kinds of Boston Public Garden wedding portraits that couples dream of — vibrant, emotional, and filled with movement.

Reception at The Tower Boston Wedding Venue

The celebration continued back at The Tower Boston wedding venue for a lively, multi-level reception. The unique layout of the space naturally kept guests moving and the energy high throughout the night.

The dance floor quickly became the heart of the celebration, and I may have joined in for a jig or two. The energy in the room never dipped, and it was the kind of reception that guests will talk about for years.

Why I Love Photographing Weddings in Boston

Kim and Ben’s wedding was a beautiful reflection of love, personal history, and thoughtful design. From getting ready at The Lenox Hotel, to portraits at Boston Public Garden, to celebrating at The Tower, their day highlighted everything I love about being a Boston wedding photographer.

Boston offers an incredible blend of historic architecture, green spaces, and iconic venues that allow every wedding gallery to feel dynamic, elegant, and deeply personal to the couple.

If you’re planning a wedding at The Tower, the Boston Public Garden, or anywhere in the city, these locations create unforgettable opportunities for wedding photography that feels both editorial and heartfelt.
